Libraries and bookstores are good places too. I'd wait until both books are out, though. :) And, I enjoy blogging. If you need any tips, I'd be glad to help out any way possible.Cherie Reichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16663147386014122939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583133301279195857.post-80421302780504493062010-12-05T08:26:26.376-08:002010-12-05T08:26:26.376-08:00Cherie,

I went to one with my mom when she won first place in their mystery contest. I cried. Our goal is to speak at writer's conferences as mother and daughter writers. This article will probably be the basis for our presentation. But not until both books are out. Blogging is new to me, but I hear it helps to promote books. I have a feeling it will get addicting!Terri Talley Ventershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14000680923157707689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583133301279195857.post-37377698479609314492010-12-03T12:01:05.482-08:002010-12-03T12:01:05.482-08:00Great post, Terri! I've even had people swear I changed clothes because they saw someone that looks like me wearing something different. It's really weird. :)

I typically write things from beginning, middle, and end, but I'm a history person, so I think that's why I like to have things lined out so. *laughs*

It's a great idea to jot down your ideas as they come to you. I have to do that if I'm suddenly inspired to write a poem. I'm no poet, but sometimes the muse strikes, and if I don't jot it down right away, it's gone forever. As for ideas, I can almost always remember them in my ideas file in my brain.

And, I definitely agree about the rest of it, especially inspiration striking anywhere and writers groups. I have critique buddies, and I have my writers group I go to every first and third Thursday of the month. It's so worth it. I'd like to add to go to writers conferences. You learn so much and make tons of connections at them. They are so valuable!

I can't wait to read your novel and your mom's when it comes out! They sound great!Cherie Reichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16663147386014122939noreply@blogger.com
